Beginning in fall of 1978, the major objective of the Master of Business Administration program is to develop the student’s analytical skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making capabilities and to provide the basic knowledge needed for the solution of business problems.

Accommodating Schedules

With our flexible evening program schedule and rolling admissions you can start six times per year; January, March, April, June, August, or October.  In our part-time evening program, courses are offered one night per week from 6-10pm each nigh.  By taking two courses at a time, you can earn your MBA in one calendar year.   Another option is to attend one class per week which allows you to earn your degree in two years. Our 3/2 program (BBA/MBA) and joint degree programs (PharmD/MBA, JD/MBA, & MDiv/MBA) allow you to take traditional 15 week classes while simultaneously earning two degrees.

Two Campuses

The Part-time, Evening MBA program can be completed on our Main Campus in Buies Creek or at our RTP facility in Morrisville, NC.  The Full-time, Day Program can be completed on Main Campus in Buies Creek.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the MBA Program, a candidate should complete the following:

  1. Application, Resume, and Personal Statement should be sent to the School of Business Graduate Admissions Office with a $65.00 application fee. The application fee is nonrefundable.

  2. Reference forms should be distributed to three professional persons who have been directly involved in the student's academic and/or professional work. These should be mailed directly to the School of Business Graduate Admissions Office by the recommending persons.

  3. The applicant must request that an official copy of the GMAT or GRE score report be sent directly from the testing center to Campbell University.

  4. The applicant must request that an official copy of the transcript(s) of all colleges and universities previously attended be mailed directly from those schools to the School of Business Graduate Admissions Office.

After appropriate reviews have been made in the School of Business Graduate Admissions Office, the student will be notified of his/her status by the School of Business Graduate Admissions Office.

Admission Requirements for the part-time, evening MBA Program

Admission requires all of the following:

  1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

  2. A minimum grade point average of 2.80 on a 4.00 point scale on all undergraduate work.

  3. A minimal score of 450 on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or a minimal score of 300 on the GRE General Test**

  4. A GMAT Writing Score or GRE Writing Score of 3.5 or higher.

  5. A minimum of two (2) years post-baccalaureate or professional work experience.

  6. The required 21 hours of prerequisite business courses which include:

  • Accounting

  • Economics

  • Computer Science

  • International Business*

  • Management

  • Marketing

  • Statistics

*Note: The International Course requirement may be satisfied by taking either a course in International Business, International Finance, International Management, Global Marketing, International Trade or any course with an international or global focus.

*applicants not having satisfied the pre-requisite courses may be considered for provisional admission.

**A minimum score of 300 is required on the GRE for students who completed the exam afterAugust 1, 2011.  Additionally, students must score at least a 144 in both the verbal and quantitative section.
For students who completed the exam prior to August 1, 2011, please visit the ETS website to evaluate your scores for comparison to the current scoring format.

Admission Requirements for the Full-time, Day MBA Program

Admission requires all of the following:

Additional Requirements for International Students

International students are also required to provide the following information to be admitted in full standing:

1. Proof of a score of 550 Paper-based total (213 Computer-based total) or better on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
2. Certified/official copies of all transcripts, degrees, and diplomas in English and/or original evaluation of the same documents from Educational Testing Service (ETS)
3. An affidavit of financial responsibility in order for the University to issue an I-20 Form.
