In this track you will gain a global perspective on business whether your focus is business in Oklahoma or around the world. You will have the opportunity to experience global business first-hand during the International Business Practicum. Travel to a foreign country, learn local business customs and encounter new, exciting cultures.

The highlight of the OBU MBA in International Business is “The Trip”. The International Business Practicum course is a coordinated and supervised overseas trip with emphasis on culture, limitations and business opportunities.  Possible destinations include Europe, South America, Dubai and China.. During your time overseas you will interact with international business executives and learn how they view business on the world stage. You will gain insight into differing managerial styles and cultures. We even throw in a little fun along the way. By far, students continually say this is the highlight of their studies. It could be yours as well.

Leadership Preparation from a Global Perspective –

Our nation operates in a global economy. Our state and the companies in it interact with companies from around the world. We need business leaders in Oklahoma who know how to think at the global level. This program will help you understand how world influences impact decisions right here in Oklahoma.

Engaging and Practical Instruction –

Courses are designed to help a student think on the world stage, but will also equip the individual to apply skills and concepts learned to one's working environment. Courses are structured such that you can apply the material covered to situations you face every day. This is not a one-size-fits-all instructional format. Group projects, papers and readings can be adapted to your specific needs. Students have launched businesses and developed solutions for their current employer through their projects here at OBU.  Yes, it’s a big world, but it has to work in your office as well.

Foundational Ethics –

At the OBU Graduate School, we utilize materials from Character First to help you strengthen your business ethic. From time to time, students are encouraged and invited to attend an Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium luncheon at the Petroleum Club. An MBA from OBU is not just a bunch of head knowledge. We want to produce graduates who not only succeed, but succeed in doing what is right.

Convenience –

• Classes meet just one night per week.
• Courses are six weeks long. This allows you to get in and get out as needed.
• Our campus is located in NW OKC close to I-44 and N. May Ave.
• You can follow the prescribed order of courses and finish in around 18 months or set your own pace of study.
• You are able to take some classes on campus and some online with our online program.
• You can join a cohort in August or January
