The IMBA is a 2-year, cohort-based program comprised of students who who bring a wide range of international experiences and diverse perspectives. The supportive learning environment features small classes and stresses collaborative teamwork and networking with fellow business professionals in the program. Students in the IMBA program complete core courses with their cohort and blend with students in the Full-time MBA and Evening MBA for electives.

IMBA students are required to complete two international experiences on two different continents. Students may either complete two international practicums (strategic consulting projects), which integrate business skills in an international environment, or one practicum and a short-term study abroad course, semester exchange, or an international internship on a second continent. Previous consulting assignments have been completed in locations as varied as Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Beijing, China; Munich, Germany; Bangalore, India; Bangkok, Thailand; and Capetown, South Africa.
