he mission of Kent State’s MBA programs is to train future
leaders that will have a positive impact in business and society at
large. To this end, the Full-time MBA Program attracts
high-potential participants from around the world, and provides
them with knowledge and experiences that will best prepare them to
succeed in today’s business environment.
The program stresses a balance between theory, application, and
personal growth and sharpening of “soft” skills. Our
challenging and innovative curriculum, taught by outstanding
faculty, provides a broad foundation across key business
disciplines, as well as the opportunity to specialize in one of
eight concentration areas. Moreover, aProfessional
Development course series, along with many experiential
learningopportunities outside the classroom, provide opportunities
to apply knowledge to real-life business problems, and to hone
communication, team-building, and leadership skills.
Participants progress through coursework as an integrated
cohort and develop a strong sense of community and
relationships that promise to continue long after graduation.
To maximize the opportunities for interaction among students,
faculty, and administrators (as well as between students and
members of the local and regional business community), classes are
kept purposefully small. Each entering class is limited to a
maximum of 45 participants and, as a result, admission to this
program is very selective.
The program is fully accredited by the Association to Advance
Collegiate Schools of Business and is consistently ranked among
Princeton Review’s 300 best. Yet it is among the
most affordable degree programs of its caliber. Moreover,
financial aid is available to those who qualify, and graduate
assistantships are awarded based on merit.
