MS in Nursing Administration/MBA

The MS in Nursing Admin/MBA program is a three-year concurrent degree program jointly sponsored by the UHM School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene and the UHM Shidler College of Business.

Using a community-based approach to nursing, the master of science in nursing program prepares nurses for advanced practice. Students can select support courses that prepare them for teaching, administration, or public health-related positions.

Purpose

The MS in Nursing Admin/MBA program is for motivated individuals who desire a management career in a hospital, consulting, or healthcare setting and who wish in-depth professional preparation for such a career. The program will prepare graduates with the breadth and depth of knowledge and skills needed to develop, implement, and measure the impact of innovations in care delivery at all levels within healthcare organizations.
