The Traditional MBA Program is perfect for students interested in an accelerated 16-month program that offers the intimacy of classroom instruction on the University of Wyoming's campus in Laramie, Wyoming. The program is sequential, starting each fall semester.
Full-time MBA Requirements
A Faculty Admissions Committee, chaired by the Director of the MBA program, will review all applications. Application to the program is open to students who have a four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college. Admissions preference will be extended to candidates who are interested in dual-degree programs from other UW schools and colleges, to candidates who have completed a baccalaureate degree in a professional technical field (e.g., engineering) in the preceding semester, and candidates with 2 or more years of post-baccalaureate work experience. Students with a baccalaureate degree in a business discipline or business administration are eligible for the program, but will not be allowed to waive any of the core courses.
Applicants must provide official academic transcripts, GMAT or GRE test results, three letters of recommendation, and a current resume. In the case of dual degree and professional technical field applicants one letter of reference from an active research faculty member is requested.
Students whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL results. No exceptions for students from other UW colleges and schools seeking dual degrees. Please be advised that our program includes significant class discussion, substantial daily reading, and many written assignments.
