The New Brunswick-based MD/MBA program, which is a collaborative effort with the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, is designed to provide medical students with the knowledge and skills necessary for positions in the healthcare industry that require expertise in both the medical and economic aspects of health care. Students earn both the MD degree and the MBA degree during the course of a five-year medical school program. As a dual degree program, students fulfill all academic requirements for each degree.

Students earn both the MD degree and the MBA degree during the course of a five-year medical school program. As a dual degree program, students fulfill all academic requirements for each degree.
Admission to the program is competitive. There are a limited number of scholarships for this dual degree program that are awarded through Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Other first year medical students may be offered admission as well on a no scholarship basis. Students will be admitted to the program spring of each year - April 20th is the application deadline for this program. Medical students are required to take the GMAT examination and to be accepted for admission by the Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs – Newark and New Brunswick.
Applications may be obtained through either UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School or RBS Graduate Programs: Newark – New Brunswick Student Services and Graduate Admissions Offices.
