MCITP: Professional

Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Support Technician (MCITP:Enterprise Support Technician) credential validates the knowledge and skills required to deploy and support the Windows Vista operating system. UK Open Learning's courseware for the MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician will arm students with knowledge on deploying Windows Vista, managing security, and troubleshooting network issues. You will cover the Windows Vista operating system as well as how to support end-users with network connectivity, security, application installation, and compatibility issues and logon problems that include account issues and password resets.

This home study course is ideal for anyone looking to start a career as an IT Specialist or an MCITP Enterprise Support Technician.

No prior knowledge is necessary to study this course although it is recommended you have a good computer knowledge.

We recommended you spend approximately 110 hours of your time studying for the MCITP: Professional Course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

The course is split into two main parts. EXAM 70-620: Installing + Configuring the Windows Vista System, Configuring Windows Vista Mobile Computing and Applications. EXAM 70-622: Maintaining and Troubleshooting Windows Vista Computers.

Exam fee is not included and is payable directly to the examination centre: Prometric Test Centres. Prometric offers the most extensive, professional and secure testing network in the world where tests are delivered in over 160 countries in over 7,500 locations.

Assessment for this award is carried out by two exams at a local approved test centre. Candidates will gain experience through hands-on lab exercises that allow you to practice what you learn in a fully functional, simulated environment, as well as access to practice tests and exam simulators. In addition, students will have the full support of an expert tutor to guide you every step of the way.
