Course 5407: Getting Started with Windows Vista

Introduction This online course covers the information you will need to start using the Windows Vista™ operating system. It covers starting up your computer and, if necessary, logging on to your computer, workgroup, or domain. It also covers the basic information you will need to provide when setting up Windows Vista for the first time, such as setting the date, time, and regional options. You will also learn how to install updates necessary to get Vista running on your computer. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Establish a computer session to start working with Windows Vista™.
• Make Windows Vista™ easier to use.

• A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
• Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
