Program Overview
By pursuing the combined degree, successful graduates will earn two master’s degrees in less time by taking advantage of cross-credits for coursework applied to both programs. Completing both degrees separately will require 66 credits of coursework. The combined degree will require as little as 48 credits of coursework, taking advantage of 18 cross-credits from the two programs (nine credits from the College of Engineering and nine credits from the College of Business).
Candidates accepted into the MSEM program with the intent of pursuing MSEM/MBA combined degree program will work with an advisor to select the appropriate graduate business courses. After formal admission …

The combined degree will require as little as 48 credits of coursework, taking advantage of 18 cross-credits from the two programs (nine credits from the College of Engineering and nine credits from the College of Business).
Candidates accepted into the MSEM program with the intent of pursuing MSEM/MBA combined degree program will work with an advisor to select the appropriate graduate business courses. After formal admission to the MBA program, the business courses taken to fulfill the MSEM degree will be applied to the MBA degree. Six credits of engineering management courses will be applied as MBA electives.

Admissions Requirements
Upon completion of the MSEM program, MSEM/MBA candidates will
need to complete the MBA application for admission, and be formally
admitted into the MBA program. As a part of the application,
candidates will submit the following: one letter of recommendation
and recommendation form; a current resume; and essay “a” from the
MBA application. The GMAT requirement will be waived for candidates
who have earned their MSEM degree. Candidates, who have not
satisfied the MBA prerequisite requirements, will need to do so
prior to enrolling in the MBA program. They are as follows:
Accounting, Finance, Statistics, and Microeconomics.
