Objective and overview
The course aim is an intensive one day workshop into diplomatic protocol, which is appropriate for staff within all organisations which deal with international diplomats. The course is aimed at enabling delegates to assist in the function of persuading diplomats to support and to promote their own organisation through aid, political or commercial activities.

- Find the purpose of diplomatic protocol and its history
- The different forms of diplomacy or missions
- Why in diplomacy style, substance and respect are essentially intertwined
- Real world Protocol
- Real World Diplomatic slights/snubs and how to recognise.
- Identify diplomatic roles and recognising how best to address them.
- Participants will be able to identify diplomatic emblems and insignia, where these are used or displayed.
- Students of this course will learn how properly to address diplomats both in person and in correspondence; and to engage them in sensible “small talk”, as necessary
Format
Taught entirely in-house by the tutor experienced both in designing and delivering training within a diplomatic environment and in the ways of the diplomatic world.
