Description
The goal of this course is to provide a baseline of knowledge and skills that will benefit students in language-specific courses required to complete the Certificate in Translation. Students work through a number of different text types and gain experience with each domain covered. Via the different text types in the course, students learn to cater a text for an audience and understand the research necessary for different domains. Students are expected to translate a short text every week and provide terminology documentation and parallel text research.
