Scaled Agile Framework 5.1: SAFe Scrum Master

As a SAFe Scrum Master, you’ll be able to coach your team on a journey that’s an integral part of the complete organization’s development process. This two-day SAFe Scrum Master training program will give you an understanding of the role of a Scrum Master in a SAFe enterprise. Where the traditional Scrum Master training focuses on the fundamentals of team-level Scrum, this program explores the role of the Scrum Master in the context of the entire enterprise. You’ll be prepared to successfully plan and execute the Program Increment (PI), the primary enabler of alignment throughout all levels of a SAFe organization. This includes learning the key components of Agile at scale development, how Scrum is facilitated throughout the enterprise, and how to execute Iteration Planning.

You will also discover how to build high performing Agile teams by becoming a servant leader and coach, and how to coach those teams to deliver the maximum business value at scale.

After taking the SAFe Scrum Master exam, you’ll certify as a SAFe Scrum Master (SSM). This certification signifies you’re able and prepared to perform the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe environment, increasing your value to teams and organizations that are implementing SAFe.

Two-day training program

The SAFe Scrum Master course is a two-day training program. Each course day starts at 9:00 and ends at 17:00, and includes a complimentary lunch and an afternoon break.

During the program, we’ll go into the following topics:

• Introducing Scrum in SAFe
• Characterizing the role of the Scrum Master
• Experiencing Program Increment planning
• Facilitating Iteration execution
• Finishing the Program Increment
• Coaching the Agile team

After

When you pass the SAFe Scrum Master exam, you’ll receive a SAFe Scrum Master certificate, with a digital badge to promote your accomplishment online. A one-year certified membership as a SAFe Scrum Master is also included, granting you access to the SSM Community of Practice.

We’ll provide you with a SAFe Scrum Master certification usage guide with SSM certification marks as well as access to a variety of learning resources to support certified professionals during their SAFe journey.
