Online Executive MBA

Rochester Institute of Technology's rigorous online Executive MBA program differs from regular MBA programs in fundamental ways. First and foremost, this EMBA is a challenging and demanding degree program designed to accelerate the careers of mature, high-performance professionals with significant business experience, unlike traditional MBA programs which are geared primarily toward a less experienced audience.

This program is ideal for creative, innovative individuals who have gained their experience in the workforce and not just the classroom. Participants in this program have established careers and are looking for proven and effective methods and strategies to propel them even further up the career ladder. EMBA students master executive skills such as strategic and cross–functional thinking and leadership. They learn not only from their knowledgeable and professional instructors but also from their successful, motivated, diverse peer group as well.

The EMBA encourages students to think outside of the box and places a strong emphasis on group networking. You will leave the program with a strong network of influential peers you will remain close with on a personal and professional level.

Application Package Components

A completed Executive MBA application package includes all of the following items:

• Completed EMBA application form
• Current resume detailing all work experience
• Official transcripts from all schools attended, which must arrive sealed in the school's envelope (include RIT transcripts if you studied here)
• Two letters of recommendation, one from your direct supervisor
• Personal Statement/Essay. Submit an essay discussing a work-related challenge you faced, and how you worked to resolve it. Also discuss how an Executive MBA from RIT will enable you to achieve your goals. Please remember this is the best chance to make an impression on the Program Director. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your advisor
• One-time, $100 non-refundable application fee (waived for alumni and veterans)

Upon acceptance, students are required to submit the following:

• One-time, $100 non-refundable technology fee
• $1,000 non-refundable Residency Deposit
• New York State mandated health forms:
  • MMR Immunization records
  • Meningococcal acknowledge form

Additional Components for International Students

International students also need to provide:

• Credits evaluated by World Education Services (WES)
• Original mark sheets
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) results with a minimum score of 580 on the paper-based test, 237 on the computer-based test, or 92 on the Internet-based test.
