Less familiar complaints, such as fatigue, concentration loss, feelings of insecurity and strain injuries, may also have a major impact on your day-to-day performance. But what can women do to alleviate these symptoms? How can you stay in balance? How do you maintain your fitness and vitality?
Your KLM company doctor will refer you to the Curilion expertise centre, where you will receive personal care from a gynaecologist, who will offer you practical tips and whatever therapy you need to restore and maintain your fitness and vitality levels.
For whom?
This workshop was specially
developed for women working at KLM and KLM Cityhopper, who would
like to understand the menopause better.
Personal care programme
The care programme
lasts a maximum of sixteen weeks and includes four individual
consultations with a gynaecologist.
It all begins with a one-hour intake session, during which you discuss your medical history and any menopausal symptoms you may have. This is followed by a physical examination. You then discuss the results with the gynaecologist and develop a personal care plan together. This includes age-appropriate advice on nutrition, relaxation and exercise, as well as any medication suitable for your symptoms. If necessary, the gynaecologist will refer you to a pelvic health physiotherapist, a nutritionist, or a psychologist for additional care.
After six to twelve weeks, there will be a follow-up consultation, where you will discuss your personal care programme. The programme can be adjusted at this point, if necessary.
After a maximum of sixteen weeks, the programme is rounded off with a final consultation, where you discuss the effects of the treatment. The gynaecologist agrees a programme with you, so that you can carry on doing whatever is necessary to maintain your fitness and vitality.
