The Master of Advanced Management (MAM) program at the Yale School of Management assembles a cohort of exceptional students from countries around the world for a one-year program of study at Yale University.

By bringing together the most promising management students from all parts of the globe to exchange ideas and points of view, while leveraging the resources of Yale University, the program provides a unique opportunity for future leaders to expand their understanding of the complexities that have developed in the contemporary global market economy.

The program is motivated by the recognition that enterprises in all sectors need leaders who understand how markets and organizations work in increasingly diverse contexts. Senior leaders must understand and contribute to the big issues facing societies around the world, as well as be able to work effectively in and across all regions and sectors, to adapt to the different roles of governments in economies, to master increasingly complicated financial arrangements, and to draw upon ever-closer connections in the modern world.

Like the Yale World Fellows international leadership development program, the MAM is designed for individuals who have demonstrated the potential to exert a disproportionate positive influence on the issues facing business and society. Candidates for the program will have earned a Master of Business Administration or equivalent credential within the past two years from a member school of the Global Network for Advanced Management, a network of elite non-U.S.-based graduate business schools.

Students in the MAM program will form close ties with Yale MBA students, as well as Yale faculty and visiting lecturers and practitioners from corporate and enterprise partners. MAM students will have access to Yale SOM networks and resources, such as the school’s Career Development Office.

Admissions

The MAM program gathers the most promising management students from around the world to exchange ideas and points of view that complement the knowledge and skills they learned in their home countries as MBA students.

Admission to the Master of Advanced Management program is available to students who either (1) are enrolled in Global Network for Advanced Management member schools and expect to receive their MBA degree or equivalent before August 2013 or (2) have graduated from a Global Network for Advanced Management member school within the past two years with an MBA or equivalent degree.  (3) On a case by case basis, Yale SOM may admit to the MAM exceptional students who have not yet completed their MBA or equivalent degree provided:

- the student has satisfactorily completed the required MBA (or equivalent) core curriculum;

- the Global Network school where the student is enrolled in the MBA (or equivalent) program will count credits earned at Yale as part of the MAM program toward the MBA (or equivalent) degree; and;

- the student will have completed the MBA (or equivalent) program and obtained the respective degree prior to completing the MAM degree at Yale.
