This program is ideal for self-disciplined, self-guided individuals who are unable to attend traditional courses due to hectic work schedules, geographic isolation from campus, or other restrictions. Students will find a highly skilled, statewide team of professors presenting a broad, interactive curriculum. Courses are designed for a clear understanding of a marketplace that has become increasingly complex with the addition of new technologies and communication tools.
The Online MBA program can be completed without stepping foot on campus. This 36-48 hour program offers the choice of a general management degree, but also offers a finance emphasis (specialization). The Online MBA is a collaboration among eight accredited University of Texas System institutions. All participating institutions are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. UT Arlington is also accredited by AACSB International.
Oversight of the development and delivery of the Online MBA program is offered through the UT System and provided by the MBA Academic Affairs Committee. This committee ensures that courses offered online maintain the highest standards.
Along with grade point average and GMAT total score, admission criteria include the following:
- GMAT sub scores (verbal and quantitative)
- GMAT writing sample
- Grades in specified undergraduate business and non-business courses (math, accounting, economics, statistics, for example)
- Educational objectives and quality of written expression of the application essay
- Letters of recommendation from three persons familiar with the applicant’s academic background and/or work experience
- Undergraduate major
- General and specific program accreditation status of degree granting institution
- Professional work experience
- Professional certification or licensure
