At UK Open Learning we pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive tutors. Your tutor support will start as soon as you receive your course and will be valid for 12 months. All our tutors are highly qualified with extensive experience in supporting distance learning students. You contact your tutor via email and they are responsible for answering your questions and guiding you through the course to ensure you are ready for your examinations.

No prior knowledge is necessary to study this course although it is recommended you have a good computer knowledge.

We recommended you spend approximately 120 hours of your time studying for the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Database Developer Course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

The course is split into two main parts. EXAM 70-431 : Implementing a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database, Maintaining a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database. EXAM 70-441 + 70-442 : Designing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Server-Side Solutions, Maintaining a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database.

Exam fee is not included and is payable directly to the examination centre: Prometric Test Centres. Prometric offers the most extensive, professional and secure testing network in the world where tests are delivered in over 160 countries in over 7,500 locations.

Assessment for this award is carried out by exam at a local approved test centre. Candidates will gain experience through hands-on lab exercises that allow you to practice what you learn in a fully functional, simulated environment, as well as access to practice tests and exam simulators. In addition, students will have the full support of an expert tutor to guide you every step of the way.
