Full-Time MBA Experience
The full-time MBA curriculum focuses on providing you with a proven framework for solving business problems and making informed decisions. The Simon School curriculum enables you to develop a foundation for sound management, gain exposure to all of the functional areas of business, and acquire an in-depth knowledge of individual and organizational dynamics through participation in class cohorts and small student teams.

At Simon, we understand there is a real thirst in this competitive climate for highly trained employees working in specific fields. Busy professionals need advanced degrees, and they need them more quickly than ever before. We are proud to continue our traditions of excellence and innovation with programs andconcentrations that fit your life.
You have several ways to complete your full-time Simon MBA. Built on our reputation for academic excellence and rigorous study, our program options help you meet your graduate degree goals in a format and timeframe that work for you. Our traditional two-year programbegins in August and includes a summer internship experience, while the Accelerated MBA takes just 18 months to complete, and is tailored for students with more professional experience. For more concentrated study, the new one-year program begins in June and is designed for established professionals who require fewer electives and other coursework.
At Simon, you have the flexibility to choose a concentration that fits your goals and objectives. Your elective curriculum could begin as early as the second quarter of your study and allows you to focus your degree in tracks ranging from Accounting and Information Systems to Entrepreneurship and Marketing. Specializing your degree is not required; however, it is highly recommended for landing a job in your chosen career.
Accounting and Information Systems
This joint concentration provides you thorough training in two
often related fields. Since accounting and information technology
often work closely together in most organizations, this dual
training provides an invaluable connection between the two.
Business Environment and Public Policy
Successful businesses don’t operate in a vacuum. More than ever,
companies must have a firm understanding of their economic
environment in order to compete. With this concentration, you will
develop the skills to analyze current business climates and better
understand the critical role public policy plays on everything from
basic manufacturing to human resources and international
commerce.
Business Systems Consulting
You’re a person who looks for new ways to use your skills.
Environments that promote free thinking to meet extreme challenges
are where you thrive. This exciting concentration provides a
cutting edge and highly focused course of study designed to equip
you with the skills and experience you need to excel in the world
of business systems consulting.
Competitive and Organizational Strategy, Including the
Pricing Track
This cross-functional and integrative curriculum will provide you a
sound basis for broad range of business strategies and pricing
policies. Building on the economic fundamentals that are the
cornerstone of a Simon education, you will develop the skills to
identify the root causes of business problems and discover new
opportunities.
Computers and Information Systems
Managing an organization’s information systems goes beyond just
connecting computers. This concentration prepares you to manage a
broad array of information systems and emphasizes the major
business issues around choosing technologies, designing processes,
and improving system results. Here you will develop the necessary
skills for managing rapid technological developments, increased
competition, and the challenges of global markets.
Corporate Accounting
If you’re looking for a career in corporate accounting or even
corporate finance, this concentration is for you. Businesses
actively recruit MBA accounting majors for positions in the offices
of controller, treasurer, and internal auditing. In addition, many
corporate finance positions also require strong corporate
accounting backgrounds.
Electronic Commerce
Perhaps no industry changes as quickly as e-commerce. With this
concentration you will learn to manage in a rapidly evolving
environment where understanding new business models and emerging
technologies reigns supreme. You will learn state-of-the-art tools
for supporting online marketing, logistics, and service-delivery
functions through an exciting mix of case studies, class work, and
guest lecturers. This concentration prepares you to create, manage,
direct, and analyze e-commerce initiatives for optimal benefit to
your organization.
Entrepreneurship

education, so this concentration teaches provides you the skills

concentration is ideal for future consultants and front-line
managers in health maintenance organizations, hospitals, insurance
companies, and pharmaceutical firms.
International Management
Differences in legal environments, currencies, and workplace
practices among countries provide a number of challenges to today’s
global professional. Our International Management program offers
two options to help you apply trusted business disciplines to
international markets. The International Management option provides
critical class work and instruction on today’s global market, while
International Management Exchange option provides similar
coursework and includes one term abroad in our International
Exchange Program.
Marketing
Almost any smart business leader will tell you marketing is playing
an increasingly important role in today’s instant access, 24/7
global marketplace. Staying ahead of your competition, regardless
of the business you’re in, means satisfying the customer better
than the others. We’ll prepare you for those challenges with one of
the best and brightest marketing departments in the country. Our
Brand Management track helps you develop skills in everything from
strategy and product development to sales and promotion, while our
innovative Pricing Track teaches you how to utilize “big data”
analysis to make smart decisions for profitable pricing strategies.
You may also combine marketing to round out your education. Popular
combinations include marketing and finance, marketing and
operations management, and marketing and electronic commerce.
Operations Management - Manufacturing
This growing field has become increasingly popular due to a renewed
interest in productivity, particularly when it comes to utilizing
an organization’s operations for competitive advantage. The
Manufacturing Management Track will appeal to anyone preparing for
a career in manufacturing or consulting. Special attention is given
to manufacturing management functions within an organization, as
well as supporting manufacturing through the areas of finance,
marketing, and accounting.
Operations Management - Services
This growing field has become increasingly popular due to a renewed
interest in productivity, particularly when it comes to utilizing
an organization’s operations for competitive advantage. The Service
Management Track is specially designed for professionals entering
service-oriented industries such as finance, consulting, and
retailing. Students pursuing a career in Operations Management
often benefit from taking courses in human resources management and
organizational behavior.
Public Accounting (The Public Accounting
concentration is not available in the One-Year MBA Program.)
Licensure Qualified for New York State, this concentration offers
the courses you will need toward the requirements for the Uniform
Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam. By fulfilling the Public
Accounting concentration requirements, students will also fulfill
the Finance concentration and the Corporate Accounting
concentration requirements. This concentration requires 13
electives, 11 of which are included in the requirement for the
full-time MBA. The final two courses necessary to complete this
concentration are offered free of charge.
