SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management - Transactional Costing

Goals

• Use SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management to build and use a Transactional Costing model to derive unit rates and apply those to transactional data based on attributes
• To understand the differences between Profitability and Costing and Transactional costing model types from design, development and support perspectives
• To understand the methods used for loading transactional level data and reporting on transactional level results

Audience

• This course is intended for individuals who have some experience of using SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management and who require guidance on how to build, maintain and support transactional level profitability solutions using the Transactional Costing model type within SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management application.

Prerequisites

• BOA340 (SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management Foundation Course)

• Experience of PCM model building
• Basic database experience (MS Access acceptable)

Content

• Describe the principles of Transactional Costing.
• Design a basic model calculating to the Activity costs.
• Design a basic model calculating to the Cost Object costs.
• Electronically transfer source transactional activity driver data into a model using DataBridge and DataLoader.
• Design a basic model calculating unit rates results.
• Design and distribute a range of web-based reports containing model data.
