SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management: Fundamentals in Model Building

Goals

• Use SAP BusinessObjects Profitability and Cost Management to build and use a Profitability and Cost model for an organization.

Audience

• This course is intended for individuals who have little or no experience using BusinessObjects Profitability and Costing Management, who require a tool to support Activity-Based Costing methodology for the purpose of controlling costs through Activity and Cost Object levels, and for calculating Profitability.

Content

• Describe the principles of Activity Based Costing. Navigate through the Profitability and Cost Management Model Builder and End User interfaces.
• Design a basic model calculating to the Activity costs.
• Design a basic model calculating to the Cost Object costs.
• Create layouts and add numerical values into a model.
• Electronically transfer source data into a model via XML files and the Databridge.
• Design a basic model calculating to the Profitability results.
• Design and distribute a range of web-based reports containing model data.
• Reassign costs and redirect costs via overrides.
• Script simple rules.
• Perform the role of the system adminstrator.
• Describe the integration of Profitability and Cost Management with SAP BusinessObjects

• This course focuses on the use of the application for Activity Based Costing purposes as well as Profitability analysis.
• This five-day course provides hands-on activities that take you step- by-step through the process of building model structures, entering data, calculating results, and producing web-based reports.
• This course also presents the integration of PCM with Sap Business Objects universes and web reporting.
