Goals

• You will learn how to use business packages in the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal and how to adapt them individually.
• You can describe and use the standard ESS scenarios.
• You can configure and customize the most important ESS services within Human Resources (e.g. Leave Request).
• At the end of the course, the participant knows the requirements and the needs to implement the Employee Self Service.

Content

• The course discusses the interaction of the SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal, the translation layer and the SAP system using the technical infrastructure and the new Web Dynpro services.
• Basics of SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal and concept of business packages in different releases
• The course introduces and describes the SAP Employee Self Services (ESS) standard scenarios.
• Creating and assigning Users and Roles in SAP NetWeaver EP and in the backend system.
• Customizing ESS applications including the Web Dynpro for ABAP needs.
• Concept of the Netweaver Business Client
