Our How to Succeed at Leading seminar aims to help you develop the ability and the insights to help those under your supervision to become more efficient and effective at doing their jobs. Through a combination of role-play, small group interaction, and videotaped practice sessions, you will receive real-time practice and personal coaching as you hone the new leadership skills you have developed. A unique aspect of this training program is that we build in an assessment unit at 90 days after the class to measure the development of your leadership skills and evaluate the performance of your team. This extra component assures that your leadership skills will continue to deepen and grow as your team grows with you.

Seminar Objectives:

At the 90-day post-seminar assessment, participants will be able to:

  • Rely less on an intuitive style of leadership (self-centered, directive) and demonstrate more confidence with a management leadership style (participatory, empowering)
  • Spend more time "managing" and less time "doing"
  • Use the action planning process to design and implement at least one important program that enhances some important aspect of the business process
  • Use new decision-making techniques on the job to make sound decisions that improve the work product of the team
  • Demonstrate greater ability to function in teamwork situations
  • Develop and use a system of control by exception
