 With more than 30,000 students, Universiti Utara Malaysia is the largest university that specializes solely in business and management education. Via Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business, UUM continues to break down academic boundaries and bring together collaborative teams of experts, both local and international, to address major business issues.

The school offers MBA since 1996 and has been recognized as the best MBA programme in the country and one of the best in the region. Being the most popular and sought after MBA, there are more than 1,200 students currently enrolled in various MBA modes and specializations. Majority are part-time students holding various key positions in large corporations and government agencies. The diversity of our students with various industrial backgrounds and nationalities provides important business networking for future career progress.  

Holding to a tagline ‘Transforming Leaders for Sustainable Business and Society’, the school emphasizes not only economic and business issues but also their impacts on the society and environment. Our MBA programme is specifically designed to develop future business leaders with soft and hard skills and competencies to deal with the constantly changing business environment in a responsive and responsible manner. The strength of our programme is the embedment of the elements of internationalisation and experiential learning into the teaching and learning process via extensive use of case studies and engagement of corporate leaders, who are also our adjunct faculty members.

Holding to the principle that innovation is the key to success, the school has achieved and continues to achieve both important agenda. This is evident by the 2011 Innovation Leadership Award awarded to our business school Dean by CMO Asia’s Best B-School Award.
