Earn your Masters of Business Administration degree from Washington
University and experience a program structured to help you balance
work, family, and a rigorous academic curriculum. We’ve been
educating business leaders for 30 years. We provide your textbooks,
course materials, parking passes, and meals – so you can focus on
learning, not logistics.
Program format
You graduate in 20 months. Classes meet monthly during three-day
sessions (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
Expect to devote another 15-20 hours per week doing homework and
collaborating with your study group.
Class begins with a weeklong residency in the Charles F. Knight
Executive Education & Conference Center on the campus of
Washington University.

- Year-two theme-based courses are held monthly on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis
Three extended residencies are required.

Teaching and Curriculum
Executive MBA courses are taught by Olin Business School’s most
seasoned professors, and occasionally a consultant or guest
speaker. Teaching methods include case studies, computer
simulations and applied-learning projects. Professors bring their
research-driven mind-set into the classroom, challenging you to
question assumptions, reframe problems, and explore new ideas.
ADMISSIONS

Candidate Qualifications
The Executive MBA Admissions team wants to get to know you and we
encourage you to contact us before you begin the application
process. The Executive MBA Admissions Committee considers a number
of factors in selecting candidates for the program. Strong
candidates should demonstrate:
- Ability to complete graduate-level business course work
- Ability to commit to a 20-month program
- Eight or more years of work experience
- Experience and expertise that will contribute to the overall educational process of the class
- Self or company sponsorship
Each applicant is carefully considered on the basis of:
- Professional accomplishments
- Academic history and transcripts from all universities attended
- Recommendations
- Motivation and commitment
- Ability to work in a team environment
In addition to meeting the qualifications above, applicants must
submit two recommendation forms and a letter of commitment. Please
refer to Application Process for details.
GMAT or GRE scores are not a requirement. Under
certain circumstances we may require demonstration of necessary
quantitative skills to succeed in the program. Applicants who feel
GMAT or the GRE scores would strengthen their application may
submit their scores along with application materials.
