Mitchell College of Business

Mission

The mission of the Mitchell College of Business is to provide internationally accredited business education programs to qualified undergraduate and graduate students, to support the economic development of the region and contribute to the continuing success of the University. We accomplish this mission through quality instruction, faculty scholarship, and external services.

 At the Mitchell College of Business, we’re continually striving to create an educational environment where students will thrive. This commitment to academic excellence starts with the extensive enhancements we’ve recently made.

This is highlighted by the new Joseph & Rebecca Mitchell Learning Resource Center. It houses the business library, the John B. Saint Financial Analysis Center, and cutting edge computer labs. We’ve also developed over 50 new scholarships, that are attracting top quality students to the college. It is through these plans and many others that we are preparing our students for the global business world of tomorrow.

The University of South Alabama is an accredited member in business administration of AACSB International. The College offers an undergraduate degree program with majors in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing. At the graduate level, the MBA and the Master of Accounting degrees are offered through an evening program.
