e MSU College of Business has an active faculty involved in a wide range of research activities. Outlets for faculty research include peer-reviewed academic journals as well as funded research supported by public and private funding agencies.

The Center for Family Enterprise Research is ranked number one in the country in small business research, an issue of great importance to our state. The center fosters research on family business topics including work of both faculty and doctoral students in the College of Business.

The College of Business embraces the land grant mission of Mississippi State University by promoting local economic development in communities and through the production and delivery of economic programs and research throughout the state.
