Course 6658: Designing and Defining Contracts for Windows Communication Foundation Services

Introduction In this 2-hour on-line course application developers will learn how to use WCF to define different types of interface to suit the style of a service. Topics covered in this course include:

• Designing a Coherent and Cohesive WCF Service Interface
• Defining a Service Contract
• Defining an Operations Contract
• Defining a Data Contract

This course will also prepare you for exam 70-503 TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Windows Communication Foundation.

Student prerequisites

To get the most out of this course the target audience should have previous experience with Windows Visual Studio development system. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 or higher
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
• Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
• A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
• A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
• Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
