Introduction
The goal of this course is to provide computer users with the
skills and knowledge to organize, manage, and utilize the features
of a computer with the Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
operating system. Topics covered include: personalizing the
computer; installing hardware and software; working with files and
folders; adding printers and printing files; working in a
networked, or offline, environment; using the internet, and
communicating via e-mail; and protecting data.

need:
- A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or
equal to 400 MHZ
- Microsoft® Windows® 98SE or higher
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01
- Macromedia Flash 6.0 or higher (1MB disk space needed to
install)
- Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
- A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768,
with 16-bit color.
- A sound card, speakers, or headphones are recommended.
- Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband is
recommended.
For courses containing Virtual Server-based labs (courses in the IT
Professional and Developer Catalog), you will need:
- Microsoft Virtual Server ActiveX control (1MB disk space needed
to install)
