The accredited, rigorous, three-year program is specifically designed to support working professionals by providing the opportunity to earn a graduate business degree on a part-time basis while accelerating their careers. The Georgetown MBA Evening Program features the same curriculum and faculty and confers the same degree received by graduates of Georgetown’s Full-time MBA Program.
Multidisciplinary and immersive, Georgetown’s MBA Evening Program prepares professionals to make an impact in the global marketplace. The team-centered approach of the cohort system further deepens the diverse nature of this educational experience. Students work with and learn from fellow professionals representing a wide array of sectors including consulting, government contracting, federal, military, defense, nonprofit, housing, real estate, construction, and other corporate entities. They also gain unparalleled access to leaders in corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies, including the business executives and policymakers who visit Georgetown University and speak in our classrooms.
With a convenient class schedule that meets on campus two evenings per week, students experience hands-on learning in a close-knit, collaborative environment that strengthens their professional and personal networks. They graduate transformed with the knowledge and ability to advance their careers and change the world!
Application Components
The Admissions Committee makes decisions based on a collection
of documents, personal interactions, test scores, and other items.
A complete application must include the following components:

Two Professional References (one of these should be from a current
supervisor)
Official GMAT or GRE Score (only the MBA Evening Program
accepts the GRE)
Official TOEFL or IELTS Score (if applicable)
Official Transcripts/Academic Documents
$175 non-refundable application fee
Résumé
Submit a one- to two-page current résumé, including non-work
affiliations, personal interests, and community contributions. Send
résumé along with a printed version of the application.
Essays
Please respond to the following questions.

Optional Essay:
The Admissions Committee welcomes any additional relevant
information you wish to include in support of your application. If
necessary, please comment on your academic record as an indication
of your potential for graduate management education. You also may
use this space to explain issues such as gaps in your work history,
why you are currently not working full-time, or why you have not
included a recommendation from your current supervisor. (500 words
maximum)
For re-applicants only:
How have you strengthened your application over the past year? The
Admissions Committee welcomes information about any noteworthy
professional, academic, or personal achievements. (500 words
maximum)
Application Fee
The application must be submitted with a non-refundable fee of
$175. This fee may be paid online via electronic check or credit
card. Specific payment instructions are available within the online
application.
Interviews
Interviews are by invitation of the Admissions Committee only.
Following the submission of a complete application, applicants will
be contacted to schedule an interview if the Admissions Committee
determines one is necessary.
Official Transcripts
The MBA Evening Program requires official transcripts of all
academic work beyond secondary school. Photocopied documents may
not be used to fulfill this requirement. A document is official
when submitted to Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business in a
sealed envelope, signed across the seal, by the appropriate
academic officer. The applicant is responsible for obtaining
certified translations of all original documentation that are not
in English.
Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation are required and each must be
submitted online. Both recommendations should be professional
references from an occupational setting and at least one of the
recommendations should be written by a current or previous
supervisor. Georgetown University reserves the right to contact the
recommenders for any applicant during the application review
process.
GMAT or GRE
Applicants must submit an official copy of a GMAT or GRE taken
within the past five years by requesting that the score(s) be sent
to the Georgetown MBA Evening Program with GMAT code JT7-G0-64
(formerly 5281) or GRE code 7821. For complete information on the

The Committee does not prefer one test over the other, you may
choose to take either the GMAT or the GRE based on your own
preference.
English Language Proficiency
All applicants who do not speak English as their native language
are required to demonstrate a level of proficiency in the English
language sufficient to meet the admission requirements of
Georgetown University and its McDonough School of Business.
Proficiency may be demonstrated by the receipt of a bachelor's
degree from an accredited institution of higher education in the
United States or from a university in another country where English
is the primary language of instruction. All other applicants must
submit a current TOEFL examination directly to Georgetown
University. TOEFL scores are valid for two years.
Candidates who take the computer-based TOEFL will be scored on a
different scale from the paper-based and Internet-based tests. The
minimum required score for the computer-based TOEFL is 250, the
minimum required score for the paper-based TOEFL is 600, and the
minimum required score for the Internet-based TOEFL is 100.
