KIMEP University

KIMEP University was founded by a resolution of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on January 14, 1992. It is the oldest and largest US-style university in Central Asia. It is situated on a modern campus spread in the center of Almaty – Kazakhstan’s and Central Asia’s financial capital. MBA Program is offered under the Bang College of Business (BCB), named after the President of KIMEP University Dr. Chan Young Bang. The MBA program at KIMEP University is dedicated to training leaders who can effectively manage and successfully transform organizations both in Kazakhstan and internationally.

Most challenging achievements and the future

They develop future leaders by providing world-class education through cutting-edge Business programs. Moreover, BCB is aggressively pursuing accreditation to become internationally renowned. Currently, they hold Level II (Regional) accreditation for the MBA program by the AFBE. In 2010, BCB became a member of the prestigious American Business accreditation agency AACSB International, and strives to achieve it’s accreditation. They also consider pursuing accreditation by EQUIS, FIBAA and AQAA. Recently, BCB has finalized dual-degree arrangements of the MBA with IESEG School of Management of France (IESEG Master of International Business) and CASS Business School of the UK (Cass MS in Finance).

The administration and faculty encourage and support students to communicate their new ideas, leverage their strengths and perspectives, explore diverse projects, work collaboratively towards a common goal, and apply critical analytical thinking and innovation at work. The Business School has the highest proportion of faculty members with doctoral degrees from American and other foreign universities, who have decades of experience not only in teaching and research, but also in industry and innovation, and will add many more to the existing high-credentialed faculty.
