Biology: Sex-linked traits
Sex-linked traits are associated with genes found on sex chromosomes. In humans, the sex chromosomes are X and Y. Because the X-chromosome is larger, X-linked traits are more common than Y-linked traits. An example of a sex-linked trait is red-green colorblindness, which is carried on the X-chromosome. Because males only have one X-chromosome, they have a higher chance of having red-green colorblindness.

Sex linkage, chromosomal mutations, and non-nuclear inheritance
What are the consequences of genes being carried on chromosomes? Well, all sorts of interesting stuff! We can see sex linkage when genes are on X or Y chromosomes, genetic disorders when too few or too many chromosomes are inherited, and unusual inheritance patterns when our genes are in the chromosomes of mitochondria or chloroplasts.
