The IAB (International Association of Book-Keepers) Bookkeeping qualifications are specifically designed to appeal to those who are aspiring to become, or who are already, professional bookkeepers or accounts administrators.

Fundamentals of Book-Keeping and Accounting for Partnerships
Principles of preparing financial statements for a Sole Trader
Principles of accounting for not for profit Organisations
Principles of double entry Book-Keeping
Fundamentals of incomplete records
Principles of VAT
Work effectively in Accounting and Finance
Prepare financial statements for a Sole Trader from incomplete records
Preparing and completing VAT Returns
Record transactions and make accounting adjustments
Prepare financial statements for a not for profit Organisation
Prepare financial statements for a Partnership
Prepare financial statements for a Sole Trade

Qualifications

Qualification: IAB Level 3 Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping

On successful completion of the mandatory units, the learner will receive a certificate to confirm the achievement of the Level 3 Award in Manual Bookkeeping (QCF). The Certificate will include the full name and accreditation number of the qualification and the grade awarded.

Requirements for Entry

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

Study Hours

This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
