Manual Bookkeeping - IAB Level 2 QCF Certificate

The IAB (International Association of Book-Keepers) Level 2 Award in Manual Bookkeeping is aimed at individuals who wish to further their studies of manual bookkeeping and gain a qualification at Level 2 of the National Framework having completed studies of the IAB Level 1 Award in Bookkeeping. It could also be used by those candidates who have some practical knowledge and skills and wish to gain an accredited qualification in this subject.

Principles of recording and processing financial transactions
Principles of VAT
Banking procedures
Preparing & recording financial documentation
Maintaining petty cash records
Maintaining petty cash records
Maintaining the journal
Processing ledger transactions and extracting a trial balance
Maintain control accounts

Qualifications

Qualification: IAB Level 2 Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping

On successful completion of the mandatory units, the learner will receive a certificate to confirm the achievement of the Level 2 Award in Manual Bookkeeping (QCF). The Certificate will include the full name and accreditation number of the qualification and the grade awarded.

Requirements for Entry

There is no experience or previous qualifications required for enrolment on this course. It is available to all students, of all academic backgrounds.

Study Hours

This is only an approximate figure and is dependant upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies and how well you grasp the learning concepts in the course material. Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
