In this, the second part of our two-part certification preparation series, your instructor will continue to demystify the PMBOK®, Guide, including relationships between inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs. You'll also gain a strong understanding of such topics as earned value management, risk management, simulation, sensitivity analysis, and make-or-buy analysis. In addition to learning about the PMBOK®, Guide, you'll gain insight into PMI®'s code of professional responsibility and discover powerful techniques you can use to continue preparing for the PMP® exam after this course is over.

About The Instructor

This course includes a knowledgeable and caring instructor who will guide you through your lessons, facilitate discussions, and answer your questions. The instructor for this course will be Tony Swaim.

Tony Swaim has helped many clients, colleagues, and students reach their professional and personal goals. He has been an online instructor since 1998 and has taught at colleges and universities across the United States since 1981. His focus areas are project management, purchasing, continuous process improvement (CPI)/Six Sigma, and supply chain management. Tony manages a successful consulting firm, and his industry experience includes 20 years of supply chain management. He earned an MBA from California State University, Long Beach, and holds professional certifications in six disciplines, including the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®).

Requirements

Completion of Tony Swaim's PMP® Certification Prep 1 online course (or equivalent experience), plus the following required text: A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®, Guide), 5th Edition. Internet access, e-mail, the Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox Web browser, and the Adobe Flash and PDF plug-ins (two free and simple downloads you obtain at Adobe Downloads by clicking Get Adobe Flash Player and Get Adobe Reader).
