The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is designed for men and women who wish to advance their knowledge and preparation for positions of responsibility in business or not-for-profit institutions. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is designed for men and women who wish to advance their knowledge and preparation for positions of responsibility in business or not-for-profit institutions. It is recognized as a key to success in both large and small organizations. The MBA is available to students whose undergraduate studies were in business or non-business fields.
ETSU's MBA program in the College of Business and Technology (CBAT)combines an over 40-year tradition of excellence with major new features that make it one of the most innovative programs in the nation. Courses cover the organizational, financial, and operational management of organizations; the global economic and information environment; and the production and marketing of goods and services. Emphasis is given to the strategic view of the organization, to cooperation and teamwork, and to effective problem solving.
All applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Applicants can apply on line at the Graduate Studies web site, or a paper copy may be printed from the Graduate Studies site. Paper applications can also be obtained from the Graduate School in room 309-B of Burgin Dossett Hall or the College of Business and Technology Graduate Office in room 214 of Sam Wilson Hall.
The application materials include the following:
- A completed official application (can be completed on-line)
- A personal essay of 150 to 300 words (can be completed on-line)
- A Residency Inquiry Form if claiming Tennessee residency
- One official transcript of all previous undergraduate and graduate work, except previous coursework taken at ETSU
- Payment of the required nonrefundable application fee of $35 for domestic students; $45 for international students (can be completed on-line)
- An official GMAT score report
