The Master of Business Administration degree in WSU's W. Frank Barton School of Business prepares you for responsible positions of leadership in business, government, health-related organizations, and other institutions. Particular attention is given to developing an understanding of the organization as an integrated system.

MBA Admission Requirements

  1. Academic four-year undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software applications. 
  3. Admission decisions are based on the following: 
  • An official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score report (Click here if you need help with GMAT preparation.  Click herefor information about the GMAT exam).  The average GMAT score of the students admitted into the program is 530. Please plan to take the GMAT at least two months prior to the semester in which you wish to start your graduate studies and immediately have an official copy of your score sent to the W. Frank Barton School of Business at WSU, part-time MBA program. For further questions, contact GMAT at 1.800.717.GMAT.
  • A 2.75 GPA in the last 60 hours of your undergraduate degree. 
  • "Personal Goals" essay that clearly articulates applicants reasons for seeking admission (500 words maximum).
  • Two reference forms completed by faculty or employer.
  • When English is not your native language, a minimum score of 570 (paper-based) or 230 (computer-based)  or 88 (internet-based) on the test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required.
  • Current resume.
  • Career-based work experience is desirable but not required.
  • Prior study in business is not required.
