Safety Compliance

Are you responsible for safety? Keen to move into management? Then this is the course for you. It covers all areas of safety including risk assessments, personal protective equipment, fire safety, accident reporting and electricity at work amongst others. This course is ideal for anyone who is responsible for the safety of others.

This programme is designed for people who wish to gain an understanding of principles and practice of safety compliance.

All our tutors are highly qualified with extensive experience in supporting distance learning students. You contact your tutor via email and they are responsible for marking assignments answering your questions and guiding you through the course to ensure you are ready for your examinations.

There are no entry requirements for this course, just a interest in the subject.

We recommended you spend approximately 110 hours of your time studying for this course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

Module 1: Introduction. Module 2: Health + Safety at Work Act 1974. Module 3: Management of H+S at Work Regulations. Module 4: Risk Assessment. Module 5: Manual Handling Operations Regulations . Module 6: Health and Safety Regulations. Module 7: Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations. Module 8: Personal Protective Equipment Regulations. Module 9: Workplace Regulations. Module 10: Fire Safety. Module 11: First Aid. Module 12: Accident Reporting. Module 13: H+ S Training. Module 14: Lifting Regulations. Module 15: Electricity at Work. Module 16: Hazardous Substances.

There is no exam as such, although you will be required to complete a series of assignments. These assignments have no word count. However, you do have to prove to your tutor that you have fully understood the questions asked.

NCFE is recognised as an awarding body by the qualification regulators ('regulators') for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The regulators are the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland.

You will have to send in a series of assignments which your tutor will mark and return a feedback sheet to you with your results.
