Our Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. It also includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills, as well as the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

This course would be ideal for someone looking for a career as an IT Specialist or IT Helpdesk Technician.

No prior knowledge is necessary to study this course, just some basic computer skills. Experience in networking will be an advantage.

We recommended you spend approximately 110 hours of your time studying for the Cisco Certified Network Assistant (CCNA) Certification Course. The pace of study is completely up to you. To give an example, if you dedicate 2 hours a week to the course it would take you a year to complete but if you could spare 4 hours a week you could complete it in six months.

The course is split into 2 main parts. Section 1: Cisco ICND Part 1: 640-822 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices. Section 2: Cisco ICND Part 2: 640-816 Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices. At the end of this course you'll be able to: build simple networks, understand LANs, construct medium sized switched networks and troubleshoot problems.

Assessment for this award is carried out by two exams held at a local approved test centre. Candidates will gain experience through hands-on lab exercises that allow you to practice what you learn in a fully functional, simulated environment, as well as access to practice tests and exam simulators. In addition, students will have the full support of an expert tutor to guide you every step of the way.
