Notes
- Learn to install, configure, and perform additional setup and configuration tasks to successfully design, implement and secure a real- world Sybase Unwired Enterprise Server environment. After installation and configuration of key components, explore the administration functions involved in the implementation of a single-and multi-node clustered environment. Learn the necessary daily activities of managing the environment and securing mobile device applications using the Sybase Control Center. Other topics include: set up and configure Sybase Relay Server, implement security features, learn backup and restore techniques and best practices, apply performance tuning recommendations, learn native and workflow application deployment methods, perform trouble- shooting techniques, review metrics to better monitor the server.
- There will be an introductory level discussion on the use of Afaria as the device deployment solution. Students who require complete Afaria training should attend the “EDB491: Afaria System Administration” course.
- This course will not discuss administration specific to other Unwired Platform solutions such as Sybase Mobile Workflow for SAP Business Suite and Sybase Mobile Sales for SAP CRM.
