Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (APO-PP/DS)

Goals

• § This course enables you to gain an understanding of how to use APO PP/DS to create production plans for the short-term horizon. The connection with R/3 MRP and APO SNP is also described in the course.

Audience

• This course is intended for project team members and key users (persons from special departments) who are responsible for implementing production planning with SAP SCM using APO PP/DS.

• Overview of prerequisites and master data for PP/DS
• Demand management: planned independent requirements and sales orders in APO PP/DS
• Make-to-stock and make-to-order strategies
• Production Planning interactively and within planning run using heuristics
• Influencing the steps of production planning
• Evaluation and interactive planning
• Integration with detailed scheduling
• Introduction to graphical planning board and optimizer
• Overview of customizing settings

Notes

• Industry specific processes (campaign planning, RPM, iPPE, characteristic-based planning, etc.) with APO are not covered in this course.
• Master data will not be discussed in detail. Participants should attend SCM212 in preparation for this class.
