• • Accelerated Application Delivery for SAP NetWeaver enables end user worldwide to access web-based SAP applications (e.g. SAP NetWeaver Portal) at near-LAN speed.
  • This appliance overcomes bandwidth and latency issues very efficien with caching, compression algorithms and special application aware optimizations.
  • Currently, there are specific optimizations available for the SAP NetWeaver Portal, Knowledge Management (accessing and collaborating on documents) and the SAP Learning Solution.
  • Additional optimizations are planned for other web- enabled SAP applications like Business Intelligence (BI), ERP Business Packages, CRM and Composite Applications - although with the generic optimizations those applications can already benefit from the technology today.
  • Accelerated application delivery features the ability to learn and recognize patterns from previous communications, and to incrementally increase data compression ratios, thus reducing the traffic flow. Among the advantages offered by accelerated application delivery are that it:
  • improves application performance for end users at remote locations
  • reduces IT management of remote sites
  • enables enterprises to avoid expensive bandwidth upgrades
  • provides monitoring of bandwidth usage and compression ratio
