This course is the first in a series for the Oracle Retail Merchandising System. It is suggested as a starting point because it gives a broad overview of the whole system and the RMS foundation that needs to be created prior to any other data entry. The course will focus on Organizational and Merchandise hierarchies as well as Items, Item types, suppliers and finishers. The course will also focus on the additional item types available in the merchandising system beyond the simple regular items. All of these topics are crucial pieces of the RMS foundation and fundamental to the operation of the Oracle Retail merchandising system.
