Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) Connector for Siebel

This course is intended for developers, administrators, and business analysts who are responsible for integrating Siebel applications and the Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) determinations servers. This release of the OPA Connector for Siebel supports both integration object mapping and business object mapping. The course covers the integration of Siebel applications with rule bases deployed to both Oracle Web Determinations (OWD) and Oracle Determinations Server (ODS). OWD allows users to conduct interviews and collect data while ODS allows web service calls to be made to evaluate outcomes. Both servers can then insert the results into the Siebel database.

In this course students learn about the basic OPA architecture and the OPA Connector for Siebel. They learn to create mappings that associate Siebel data with OPA rulebase entities. They learn how to configure Siebel applications to invoke rulebases and to store data returned from the rulebase into Siebel base tables. They also learn how to enable decision reports and to embed decision reports into a Siebel view. Note this course does not teach students how to author rulebases.
