Office to integrate Oracle BI data and views in Microsoft Office

Interactive Dashboards.
Oracle BI Publisher (formerly known as XML Publisher) is a
revolutionary reporting and document output management solution
from Oracle. In this course participants gain expertise with Oracle
BI Publisher 10g R3 (10.1.3.3) by gaining a foundation in the
fundamentals, and underlying standards. By the end of the course,
attendees will be able to create reports based on various data
sources such as Oracle Database, Web Services, RSS feeds, and
Files. Oracle BI Publisher can be used as a stand-alone reporting
product or integrated with the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite
Enterprise Edition, and also with Oracle BI Discoverer. So,
participants will also learn about these integrations, and be able
to create BI Publisher reports based on Oracle BI Server subject
area, and Oracle BI Answers.
This course also teaches how to install BI Publisher Desktop (an
MS-Word add-in to create report templates), how to create and
publish multiple templates for the BI Publisher reports. Students
will also perform various administrative tasks such as configuring
the scheduler, configuring report delivery media, and setting up
Excel analyzer. This course also covers advanced features of BI
Publisher such as creating reports with hyperlinks, scheduling and
managing scheduled reports, bursting the reports, using online and
Excel analyzers to analyze the data in BI Publisher reports, and
creating reports from data templates. Hands-on exercises reinforce
concepts taught in class.
