Writing skills (grammar usage, composition, and punctuation) and expressive skills (the ability of the translator to creatively convey the meaning expressed in the original English text) are stressed. Current market trends are examined. Gain experience through online classroom and home assignments, by discussing translation with the instructor and other students, and through analyzing previously translated texts relevant to the subjects discussed in class.
