Course 70117: Creating Controls Programmatically, Working with Media Files, and Using Shared Design Features

Introduction This course describes how to create controls programmatically and work with media files. An understanding of creating controls using XAML markup and using code-behind pages will enable you to customize applications. When customizing applications, you can also set properties, call methods, and register events for the controls in the applications. By including audio and video content, you can make applications aesthetically pleasing and aim to meet the needs of your users. The course also describes how to use Expression Blend®4 to create visually appealing and dynamic user interfaces. Expression Blend 4 makes it easy for you to create elements such as resources, styles, and control templates. You can then add behaviors to controls, without writing any code, and therefore provide functionality in your XAML applications. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:
