Course 70109: Configuring Active Directory Domain Services and Managing Group Policy

Introduction This course describes how to configure and manage Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)•the new name for the Active Directory included in Windows Server® 2008. This understanding will help you leverage improvements and features such as read-only domain controllers, fine-grained password policies, and Active Directory Recycle Bin to ensure that your Windows Server® 2008 network provides a scalable environment that meets the needs of your organization. The course also describes how to manage Group Policy in AD DS. Configuring and managing Group Policies enables you to automate the management of users and computers, thereby simplifying administrative tasks and reducing IT costs. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:
