Course 70105: Monitoring and Disaster Planning

Introduction This course emphasizes the importance of proactive monitoring and analysis of the performance of servers in your organization. Server performance monitoring helps to ensure that server reliability, performance, and availability remain constant despite your servers being in a continuing state of change (such as those caused by applications requesting varying amounts of system resources or hardware components being replaced or upgraded). Performance analysis helps to plan for increased resource needs, such as the need for file storage upgrades. Planning enterprise backup and recovery across your organization helps to cover situations ranging from someone deleting a single file to a natural disaster that destroys an entire site. An understanding of the use of Windows Server Backup as part of a disaster recovery plan can help you deal with unpredictable failures and get your organizational infrastructure back into place as quickly as possible. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:
