Course 70099: Planning Windows Server 2008 Deployment and Infrastructure

Introduction This course introduces planning the deployment Windows Server® 2008. Understanding which edition of Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 is appropriate as well as evaluating the automation of the deployment of Windows Server 2008 is important for preventing downtime to critical business systems. This course also describes how to plan server management and delegate in environments from a single, stand-alone server, to a small single-site domain, to a multisite branch structure, all the way to a multinational, multi-forest infrastructure encompassing thousands of servers and locations around the world. Different scenarios require different management models, methods, and tools. You gain an understanding of the management of Windows Server 2008 infrastructure using built-in tools and how these tools can scale effectively to support the management of multiple server scenarios. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to:
